This video explains the "many facets" of Mesut - complete self-possession and control on the pitch, but how off of it (in spite of losing some horrendous hair!) he can be rather shy and reserved. And that when you meet him, you can encounter these traits all in one go.
On the subject of hair, the video shows clips of him from Mesut, 17 and notes "hair-styles change...or perhaps not" - pausing on a clip from the film of Joachim Loew and his amazing, unchanging head of hair!!
It notes how fans have come thousands of miles from Osaka just to see Mesut and that his image is as huge as that of a pop-star and that he is a real "fans' darling".
Asked around minute 2:00 about how much girls (fans) like him - Mesut answers evasively "I'm not sure about that. No comment!" and his expression is priceless!
Then Mehmet Scholl is interviewed (I love him, always!) and is asked how it could be that Mesut has played hundreds of games with no serious injury.
Scholl: It shows he takes care of (or watches) his body...he's often fouled, he's often involved in duels for the ball, so he has to prepare himself and look after himself - his diet, his physical health.
Finally Scholl says "he's tweeted his upper-body and it is very impressive...and yeah. He's unbelievably physically and technically strong and we can observe things, like his pass to Khedira against France, that very few players in the world can do..."
How wonderful that Scholl stalks his Twitter account too! Just like we do :p
