Okay - so linguistics are not the boys' thing...

The person responsible for getting Mesut to talk in VERY BAD ENGLISH - I leave aside Lady Edith - is Michael "Mikey" Essien - bundle of joy and happiness, Mesut-bromantic interest, and the person responsible for "The Game of Hope" in Ghana - a lovely event that he hosts every year in early June. A whole bunch of Chelsea and RM players have been invited and apparently Mesut will show up if this is anything to go by! A large number of Chelsea players have already said "yes" so mark the date

Real Madrid just released this video of Mesut, Pipa, Fabio, and Rafa playing football golf. I'm in heaven any time we get to see the guys just goofing around and having fun. Mesut is, of course, adorably playful in it... but also, he speaks a little bit of Spanish!

I don't know about anyone else, but I needed this today! I'm starting to feel sad as the season is coming to an end. But happily looking forward to Friday's final!

Mesut is expected to make the Copa Final next Friday! His injury, while painful, is not believed to have damaged anything! Fingers crossed!

Somehow, I get the impression that Mesut's quote was helped-along by his publicist. :) It sounds nothing like him.

I'm hoping this will mean LOTS of pictures of his HANDS (meowliz, I know you're with me on this). And maybe a commercial or two? I've been dying for him to do some new advertisements.

Mesut has returned to training this week, much to our hearts' delight. It appears he's fully recovered from whatever illness and/or injury he was suffering from. (Although, we're not so sure he was really suffering, are we?)

This spam has been a long time coming, and I figured it might be helpful to have up before tomorrow's big Champion's League match against Galatasaray. Let's all just keep calm and love Mesut's gorgeous smile! (**This is very pic/gif heavy, so I hope you'll be patient as it loads. That can only mean lots of good things to come, right???)

As I went through tagging my pictures with the tag "smile", I realized there are just WAY too many favorites... Germany played Kazakhstan today, winning the match 3-0. The line-up was a bit unusual for the Germans. With Klose and Gomez both unavailable, they were required to play without a designated striker. Therefore, they went with the 'False 9' formation. Götze would assume the position of striker with Özil centered behind him, Draxler on the left and Müller on the right. That's about as much as I know about that... :)

It's amazing what you can learn about a person from their social media habits, isn't it? And while it's been somewhat... perplexing observing Mesut's Instagram use (picture, post, delete, follow, unfollow, delete, post, follow, repeat) in such a short period of time, some of us do feel it necessary to point out a very delightful behavior of this "gentleman" we all know and love.
