So Ramos, Pipa, Modric and Mesut all showed up to this lunch-thingy in Dolce & Gabbana T Shirts. Mesut went for the Madonna print and the Ménage à Trois (hehe) Ramos, Pipa & Modric went for Marilyn Monroe (Funny thing that Messi was wearing one of the Marilyn shirts seen shopping at D&G in Milan yesterday to). And Mesut has been seen in a lot of their tshirts. This got me inquisitive, so I had to do a little digging (because I'm bored and willing to do anything but studying).

I had to see if there is curently some sort of colaboration between spanish players and Dolce & Gabbana (Because they wear a lot of D&G). I mean who can forget their campains/colaborations with AC Milan, Chelsea and the Italian national team?

Ny mapp

I wouldn't mind that happening with Real Madrid players.

Unfortunally I can't find anything that links the players to the brand (except for Messi who apparently got some sponsoringship going on with them. And yes, they're responisble for the polka-dot suit, that was inspired by Maradona if i got it right).
So maybe this is just the result of the boys going shopping togethe, or getting inspired by eachother

Oh well a girl can dream, I'm still hoping for a colaboration.

Now I'm just gonna ad some gorgeous pictures to emphasize this.

Well only if you keep making me happy! Who thought this week would get any better after two wonderful videos? Not me, but this boy surprises us with a lovely suit picture on Instagram. He looks totally ADOOOORBS! Now I only need to know where he is and where he's going. (Did he get a stylist? Maybe he's listening to us.)

Soy muy feliz Mesut!!!

Germany played Kazakhstan today, winning the match 3-0. The line-up was a bit unusual for the Germans. With Klose and Gomez both unavailable, they were required to play without a designated striker. Therefore, they went with the 'False 9' formation. Götze would assume the position of striker with Özil centered behind him, Draxler on the left and Müller on the right. That's about as much as I know about that...  :)

Herein lies my final post... documenting my Real Madrid escapade from New York City to Philadelphia. If you haven't checked out part one or part two yet, feel free to go back and read. And it's never too late to share your thoughts! I enjoy reading what people have to say. I hope you enjoy the pretty pictures that are to follow.

"The Only Thing that Matters Is The Title..." Mesut Özil's Interview With Express.

LINK TO THE ORIGINAL
Translated by jenny_jenkins & sashatwen

Danzig –  He who dances with the ball has his magic back. We spoke with Real Madrid's super-star, Mesut Ozil (23), one day after the tremendous win against Greece.

Mr Özil, for the second time you've been named "Man of the Match." What do you do with the trophy?

It'll take it home to put in my cupboard. I'm proud of it.

Mesut can't understand why Sami Khedira isn't appreciated more... )

And because [livejournal.com profile] jenny_jenkins seems to be a really nice person, that's what I'm going to do now.

But before that, um ... hi. I've been a fan of football and my national team since the World Cup 06 for many, convoluted reasons, but somehow my brain was predominantly occupied with the future ruler of the world my darling captain Philipp Lahm until this spring. Everything changed in March (for reasons which have yet to be discovered), and since then I've been to very scary places in my quest to find fanfic, drooled over pics, watched some nerve-wracking games, and ultimately spent the last ten waking hours combing through this comm, giving myself a Mesut-high. It's quite nice as you'll all know ^^.

[All pics in this entry are shamelessly stolen from either this comm itself, google search, or any and all blogs on tumblr with Özil in their title. I'm sorry, I didn't keep track of their sources. :/ ]

Mesut's Post Match Interview

Mesut was interviewed very briefly after the match after receiving his man-of-the-match honours. The sound was dreadful, since the microphone were not fixed until after Jogi Loew began to speak, but his facial expressions are priceless.

His face from 2:40 on is particularly adorable, so watch carefully for that moment! Otherwise an unusually confident performance. Mesut's post-match interviews are in general more confident than his usual ones, exhaustion being an antidote to shyness.

The Consolidated Celebratory Pic Post!
Mesut Displays The Usual Refreshing Lack of Modesty & Is Shockingly Muy Feliz

One of the lovely things about being an Ozil fan - there's no false modesty from our bug-eyed, crinkly-eared hero! Any excuse at all and the lad removes his shirt! Also: he looks so sweet with the post-game after-glow and a certain amount of alcohol content in his blood-stream!

And it turns out he knows how to dance (sort of...)

Most importantly though - he has acquired a new nickname! "Sea Bream" or Besugo - bestowed by Iker Casillas, who was caught shouting it at him during the match against Sevilla and used it on Facebook for the following picture:

Nosebleed!

It's been a week to remember! Adorable kids, broken Spanish, lots of Belly - and now this...even more belly...

Like, much more belly. This moment seriously needs to be gifed!

Is there any player on earth, by the way, who more enjoys strutting around showing off his appendectomy scars? I think not! While Mario Gomez invariably puts his opponents shirt on backwards and inside out, and Lukas Podolski and Schweinsteiger put on their jackets (eventually), Mesut is a definite "avoid putting anything on for as long as possible to show off my new abs" sort of player.

Rayo Vallecano's stadium has its catacombs behind the goals. So the players have to walk a little further than usual...
