TRIBUNNEWS.COM, MADRID – Jose Mourinho, coach of Real Madrid, asked Mesut Ӧzil to score more goals in the next season. According to Mourinho, Ӧzil was too focused on creating chances rather than to score goals himself. During Euro 2012, Jose Mourinho kept his eyes on Real Madrid players who participated.

Your Papa and Vati already said so. Do something, Mes!
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DEVREK — No one could deny the achievements of Mesut Ӧzil’s in the football scene. His performance with Real Madrid brought them titles for two seasons. In Bundesliga, his performance brought Werder Bremen to The Champions League.
For all of his achievements, the City Council of Devrek, district of Zonguldak, Turkey, approved to rename a street to “Mesut Ӧzil” as an appreciation for the midfielder of Germany NT. As cited from Habermonitor.com last June, the City Council and the Mayor of Devrek, Mustafa Semerci, held a meeting and agreed to rename a street into “Mesut Ӧzil Street”.
The road that was called “Sand Houses Reedy Creek” was officially renamed to “Mesut Ӧzil Street”. The Government stated that Ӧzil was considered as the ambassador of the city’s community and had promoted the city that was located near the Black Sea.
Ӧzil’s last visit to Devrek was at the end of 2011 and he had the chance to meet the President of Turkey, Recep Erdogan, who praised him as the agent of integration for Turkish immigrants in German.
He told the journalists that he was happy to visit his parents’ home. “You can see they are all my friends and family.” He said to Sabah Spor, “My mother and father will come here to see me. My grandparents’ grave was the first place I visited before I’m onto my vacation.” He added.
The El Real number 10 player said that he would never forget his ‘home’, “Since I was little, I’ve always came here on summer.” He said.

HA.
And the most random news(?) in history:
Mesut was seen in Las Vegas just a few moments ago, partying hard.
[edit] I'm sorry I have to remove the link, guys. I was just told that the photos are possibly taken without Mesut's consent. Personally, as a photographer, it's against my view. I hope you understand. If the matter is clear, the original owner might be willing to share them here. :)
As usual, the first two news are translated by me and I have to admit that my brain is not on its prime condition, so please do tell if anything goes wrong. And the pictures are obviously not mine (it's always either taken from here or Tumblr lol).

When Euro 2012 was over, the man who was entitled ‘The Special One’ had already planned the team’s strategies for the next season and prepared a number of ‘homework’ for his players. The best playmaker of Real Madrid’s, Mesut Ӧzil, was also one of the names in the list of players that should work on the homework. The ex-coach of Chelsea was sure that the Turkish descent has many chances to improve and to give more contribution to the team. Mourinho even considered that Ӧzil deserves a Ballon d’Or in the future.

"You hear that, tio? Ballon D'or."

What do you say, Mesut?

"I think this shared custody works well!"

"Yay!"
And now, the boy got his own street.

"You hear that, tio? Ballon D'or."
The 42 year old man asked Ӧzil to improve his striking instinct and the number of his goals. He hoped that Ӧzil would be sharper in front of the goalpost. “He has the capability to do it, but he’s too focused on creating chances for others, it’s not a bad thing though.” Said Mourinho, reported by Marca.

Even though the number of goal he scored was low, the number of assists that he gave was remarkable. In the last season, Ӧzil created 24 best assists in La Liga.

Ӧzil only scored 6 goals in the last season. In his first season with Real Madrid, Ӧzil scored 10. During his moment with Germany NT in Euro 2012, Germany NT’s coach, Joachim Lӧw asked the same thing from him.

Though he was born in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, Ӧzil visited Devrek every year to see his family and the graves of his ancestors. It was because he was the third generation of the Turkish family that moved to German and his grandparents were coming from Devrek.
