What on earth is Mesut doing running through the fog? Good question!
Mesut visited Munich this week to join some of the other National Team boys on a set where they were carefully made-up, had their hair-cut (Mesut seems to have escaped the scissors unscathed!) and were generally sweet and lovable while doing the product advertisement for the team's sponsors.
In this video, Jogi "his hair is always the same length" Loew notes that the boys are always thrilled to get away from the competition in the Bundesliga and have fun together!
Well - anyone can see it's true. And really a more-fresh faced and adorable group of boys than my Mannschafters you are never likely to see!
At any rate, the DFB video went wild and videoed the whole event in a couple of their weird fancy-fancy futuristic videos! That was all the excuse

andriy_7 needed to provide us with some lovely gif artistry (which is so invaluable because videos can be taken down but gifs last forever!)

Mesut's advertisements are, of course, with the exception of the one with Lira where he only said the one line (the rest was dubbed) pretty awful actually. But they are awful in a very sweet way, a way that Nike (who pay him more in sportswear endorsements than any other footballer in the world - Messi and Crispy Ronaldo excepted) has obviously decided has its own unique star-quality.

And since the DFB was also shooting for the European championships, I suppose they thought it best to allow Mesut to come along! Friend Sami, who is injured, decided to stay in Madrid.
Like all events involving the national team, it seemed like unholy fun...

jenny_jenkins)Naturally (!) it's a little odd since we generally only play football, but this video-recording we are doing for Mercedes Benz is a one-off and I'm happy, naturally, to be involved. It's a lot of fun!
(On being asked, apparently, about making Marca's cover 5 our of 7 days, so to speak!)
That's how it is in Madrid. When you don't play as well, then they all criticize. When you play well then they all praise you. One has to deal with it. In the meantime I've been there one and a half years. The team supports me and the most important thing is that the coach has given me his trust and I feel really good there and everything is working out.
Incidentally - the video really inspired the owner of the aptly named naturlichfairytales tumblr who created these 9 unusually scintillating gifs! My personal favourite is the fourth of these!
Gaaaaaaaah! So many sets of crinkly-ears in one place!

my fav. gif is the 6th. he looks cute when focusing on sth ! it was clear he was thinking and processing data a lot that moment (lol) and saying what he had in mind. he blinked 3 times as well which made it even cuter!
