Mesut Displays The Usual Refreshing Lack of Modesty & Is Shockingly Muy Feliz

One of the lovely things about being an Ozil fan - there's no false modesty from our bug-eyed, crinkly-eared hero! Any excuse at all and the lad removes his shirt! Also: he looks so sweet with the post-game after-glow and a certain amount of alcohol content in his blood-stream!
And it turns out he knows how to dance (sort of...)
Most importantly though - he has acquired a new nickname! "Sea Bream" or Besugo - bestowed by Iker Casillas, who was caught shouting it at him during the match against Sevilla and used it on Facebook for the following picture:

Much love to reader Miguel in Barcelona for alerting us to the nickname development!
At any rate: here is the consolidated celebratory pic post - videos included! - of all the photographs that surfaced over the past 4 days!
The Immediate Post Match
Ray Hudson's heart's darling had a brilliant game. He came off being serenaded by our favourite Geordie in hoarse tones and ended up straight in his coach's arms -

- for a very well-deserved (if somewhat rare - Mou does not hug Mesut often!) cuddle!

If I were the coach, I would
hug Mesut every single day!
The lads did not drink on the pitch, but they were already sort of drunk - high on life, if I can put it like that. And they nearly dropped Mourinho -

These idiots are going to drop me!
The Locker-Room (A PG-13 & The Usual Nudity Warnings Apply)
The clothing came straight off and the Champagne came out. The training staff had helpfully pinned towels over the clothes!

Fabiözil lives! It lives!
Observation on the gifs above: If Iker wasn't a famous, talented millionaire we'd probably think to ourselves "who the hell is this balding, middle-aged man stuffing his face and grabbing his junk?"

Mesut appears to have spent the entire post-match posing half-naked with his teammates to delight

Sami! Stop being a party-pooper and take that shirt off!

The Flight
I've always wanted to be drunk on a plane!

As it happens, the plane provided the setting for the evening's sweetest moment: Sami Khedira gravely informing the camera (in Spanish) that Mesut was "the one" -

A Day Later At Cibeles

Ahead of Sami, next to Benzi - now who would have predicted that?

It's amazing nobody fell off the bus, actually. From a Mesuty point of view the celebrations were tonnes of fun, a mystified Spanish press noting that Mesut was one of the players who was the "life of the party" - they don't know him as well as we do, apparently!

Crözil - side of Pepe.
The Portuguese bring out the party-animal in our lad!

Seriously: I think Crispy is a good influence on the boy!

And some random Serzil.

bb Morata!
A terrorized Mesut was also cornered by that highly vivacious lady journalist from Real Madrid.com who freaks the hell out of him post-match occasionally. Mesut was "muy feliz", apologized for his bad Spanish, was more "muy feliz" and then ran off. Honestly, why do they bother?

Things were made worse by Sami Khedira leaning into view to sing "Campeones". Mesut had been doing (relatively) all right until that point. After that he was too flustered to continue!

Partying is serious business.

Mesut received his 3rd yellow card in as many games (Barca for time-wasting, Sevilla for hand-ball, Athletic for his one foul of the year). As such, he slept off the booze this afternoon while his teammates staggered around in an advanced state of hang-over on Granada's pitch this afternoon - though they miraculously pulled off a win thanks to a penalty and an own goal!

You'd do it too!
