Well, last night didn't start off on a high note, did it? Mesut benched ...



... and an uninspired Real trailing 0-1 against Deportivo going into the second half. Were it not for my chocolate coins and American literature essay to distract me it would have been a rather uneventful night.

BUT THEN ...








Cris: "Okay, guys, let's do this!"
Sami: "We aren't going to lose this!"
Mesut: "Is this thing inside out?"
Cris: " ... "
Sami: " ... "

Well, how fitting! It's Sunday and seeing as my church-going record pretty much amounts to ...

... I'm gonna operate under the assumption that LOOKING at someone else pray (regardless of religion) counts. Heaven here I come!

Really, Mesut and Cris, why not just sew your socks onto your tights? Or just wear long johns? If you're gonna cover up, do it right and don't tease me with flashes of skin here and there and then yank those damn socks up all demurely.

Make up for the lack of Mesut in this very match, though he came on later. I was also hoping Morata to start but he didn't, and not even got any minutes as subs because it turned out to be a difficult match and all of Cristiano, Mesut and Sami had to come in.
