Awwww. I respect how level-headed Sami is. He doesn't strike me as the type who just recycles scripted praise over and over again. He gives very thoughtful interviews. Stands in nice contrast to Özil's "Bitch, bring it!" approach. Nah, am certain Özil's said some nice things too somewhere, but I just did one of the painful snorts of barely contained laughter when I saw this tweet. Shame Varane can't play; was looking forward to seeing him defend against Özil's searching runs.
I miss Lass too. How does Kaká afford cabs now that Lass' in Russia??
Am probably gonna run up a few traffic violations in my race to make it home in time for the match if I have to, but in the (likely) event that I have to work overtime am just going to have to settle on following Tumblr on my phone to keep track of things. At least I will be able to watch Holland v Italy on the TV at work, so it's not a total loss :)
LOL Fans over on Benzema's Facebook page are encouraging him to respond to Mesut's "challenge". Somehow I imagine it being an epic standoff of gangsta duck-faced selfies.

Date: 2013-02-06 02:55 pm (UTC)Sami had some beautiful things to say about Benzema too (and Raphael Varane - and Lass Diarra, a player I was always fond of).
I'm just gonna plug my post:
