[The shirt controversy] showed that he is a special friend compared with the rest on the team. It was an expression of affection and love for him while he was going through a difficult time.
Ozil is super fun - you can see it in his eyes. From the first day he arrived I was very keen to get to know him. He was interested in adapting to Madrid, knowing where he should live, where restaurants were...Ozil speaks English so I understand him perfectly.
He's a little shy. He brings a lot to Real Madrid and has a great future here.

I wish I could hear what he said. They are all paraphrasing slightly, I think.

Date: 2012-11-15 01:42 am (UTC)It's funny, because in Spanish, I pronounce his name the same way ("Mesu") but when I speak about him in English I say it the proper way ("Mesut"). Sergio's Andalusian accent is pretty thick, and so he drops consonants all over the place. Like my Dominican accent, which is very much the same way. XD

Has anyone considered that maybe Sergio was the one who found the picture and then texted it to his super-friend (with the word "awwwwww"), who then tweeted it in reciprocation? I know I'm crushing Mesut's tumblr girls' dreams here, but it's not too far-fetched, is it? I've given this entirely too much thought!
