Holger Badstuber - Bayern's comedy centre-back and German national teammate to Mesut and Sami - is looking forward to meeting up with "Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira" in the semi-final.

Madrid thrashed Apoel Nicosia yesterday, so Madrid will meet Bayern for the 21st time in European competition. No two teams from different leagues have met up so often.

It was community favourite Sami Khedira's birthday yesterday. He's in bed with tonsillitis (the poor duck!) but that won't keep us from celebrating.

He's just amazing.

Ugh tonsillitis is the WORSTTTTT. For a few years I kept getting it all the time and it sucked. Poor Sami. :(

They always look like they're having so much fun at training. Pretty sure if anyone took photos while I was working, even at a job I liked, I would look so grim in comparison, hahaha.

I need more Sami-bending-over photos in my life, I think. I need this even more than I need Samisut photographic evidence, because they provide that every moment they're together in public. While it is a precious commodity, it is certainly not in short supply.

Oh God. That pic of them "dancing" in training. Could they look anymore like they're flirting? The way they're touching, how Mesut's hip juts out - my God.

Shout out to Cristiano's impressive thighs in that one pic of him kneeling down and looking like he's gossiping. Mes stroking his own thigh is pretty nice too. It ould entice me, no rouble.

this is my very first comment here, I'm a serious fan of Mesut, and probably everybody knows what I mean when I say, that I had to find a community finally, where everybody wish the best for him no matter what and join ASAP:)

So I found this adorable blog, and I decided to add my own notes to the happenings once in a while if you don't mind:)

Everyone jokes so hard about the Sami/Mesut "bromance" - but there was a VERY interesting discussion on BBC's Hardtalk with Tottenham's Louis Saha (google: Louis Saha Hardtalk - it's available on BBC iplayer). One of the questions he was asked was about gay footballers: The ratio of gays in society means there must be gay footballers - so why don't they come out? He said basically he thought he didn't think top footballers could "last" with the media/away fans having a go at them. Sami & Lena are an "item" - how long before Lena gets fed up of the third-wheel (the way Diana got fed up of Camilla?). A lot of younger people "explore" their sexuality in their late teens/early 20s in a mixed gender environment. Footballers go to male exclusive training, spend long hours at male exclusive hotels pre-games, spend 4-6 weeks locked in male exclusive "camps" for U-21 tournaments (2009), World Cups (2010), Euros (2012). He had a "mummy" relationship with an older woman (with kid/playmate) which broke up what, 18 months ago? Since then he's shadowed Sami as though he's Whitney Houston to Sami's Kevin Costner! Yes, they always seem "close" - but if Sami & Lena want a "normal" relationship - at some point both of them might want Mesut to "call 'round less frequently" (to phrase it politely). If Sami were transferred tomorrow/dropped from the Elf, how would Mesut cope? Would he cope?
