That second gif ... You know, for a (relatively) little guy, Mesut sure can be a handful when he gets riled up. It took the combined efforts of Sami, Xabi, Pipita and Marcelo (and a couple of officials) to separate him from Villa. And while I maintain my doubts that Villa insulted Islam, he must have said or done SOMETHING because Mesut flipping lost it. He just wouldn't and couldn't be calmed even as Marcelo dragged him into the tunnel. One of Life's many great mysteries: wtf happened between those two??

Well, at least he was booked for simulation. Not even his team mates know what to make of it. Usually they go along when a player fakes an injury, but his was so ridiculous it caught them off guard because they knew Sami barely touched him and no one would believe otherwise XD

1st gif, on the left: thought that guy was about to kiss Arbeloa.

One of the commentators cracked me up when he said something along the line of, "Well, we know Khedira's Spanish has greatly improved" because he was having words with everyone XD

I don't watch women's football, for which I am deeply apologetic because while it doesn't have the speed and impact as men's football, at least female footballers are made of tougher stuff! From the few matches I have seen I was well impressed when players would take a tumble and just get right back up, rather than flop around in an attempt to get the competition booked. I'm sorry, but no amount of free kicks and/or booking should ever be worth your self-respect!

I've seen it too. Women playing... (they are a bit more emotional and aggressive... I know :S.. I've played kinda professional basketball :D... things get a bit heated and violent sometimes... ahemmm)... women are a lot tougher on the pitch than men! (It's scientifically proven that women can deal with pain better than men :D)

In fact, being lighter, they're very zippy!

Some games that would be a great introduction: the Olympic semi-final between Canada and the US.

That was EPIC.
