Brrrrr... It's Scarf Season! Mesut Tweets a Good N8 Message and Picture

Since those of you who aren't on twitter might not be aware of the subtle adorableness that Mesut likes to share every once in a while, I thought I'd share his goodnight messages from this evening.

Ok, we've seen and discussed the "Good n8" before. Too cute! He still thinks he's being tricky! Or he simply knows we like it! But, can someone please explain the hands for me? I've asked my 10 year old daughter, who is the MOST likely to know these things, and she had no clue. Hubby just said, "Double Loser", but he totally doesn't get a say because anything he says stems from his jealousy. I think it's pumping hands... but I am the least cool of everyone, so I really have no idea. HELP?!

My first thought... It's scarf season! And the boy loves his scarves. Personally, I just am not a fan. I'm sure it's likely because I don't experience them much where I live, unless you're an 8th grade girl. But I've said it before and I'll say it again, I lack the fashion gene so I really shouldn't comment on it.

My second thought... I'm fairly certain he posted this tweet himself! Consider it... he's using his left hand to snap the picture. And we all know he's left handed. There doesn't appear to be anyone else with him in the car. AND there are no words! Only a peace sign! God I love him.

And our very keen-eyed jenny_jenkins was super quick (I'm talking like 20 seconds quick) to point out that this is the EXACT same scarf that he wore here...

Is that the same jacket too?

This is from a former post that you can read here. Oh! It appears this was last year's Christmas luncheon. Is that where he was today too? I've been out of the loop for the last few days so I'm not sure. But woah, woah, WOAH... Even I, who lacks fashion sense, knows you don't wear the same outfit to the same function, two years in a row. And I don't have access to millions of dollars. If I'm wrong about the details here, please don't hesitate to correct me! :P

My lover has yet to grasp that a satisfied Jenny (Mesut scores, Mesut assists, Mesut posts adorable picture) makes for a happier home-life.

And an unhappy Jenny (Mesut is subbed out at half-time, Mesut is injured etc...) makes for domestic misery.

Oh, mine's grasped it! Which is precisely why he allows this part of my life to exist! He receives all of the benefits. ;) FUNNY STORY... I took a screen shot once of my iphoto on my computer because it had somehow organized my pictures according to "faces". So there's an icon of my sister, my son, my daughter, my father, and Mesut! I totally consider him one of the family! I'd LOVE to share it, but names are displayed. Maybe if I can figure out how to hide them one day. It's hilarious!

I do believe it's the same jacket (well, at least a T-shirt is different). And I can totally imagine him wearing the same clothes for the second year in a row (I mean for the same occasion for the second time<3). It's Mesut: he does something strange and we WTF about that collectively. This is the way it is.

I used to feel that way about scarves until I experienced -10F (= -23C) as a regular part of life! (Now, 20F (=-7C) is worthy of flip flops and t-shirts.)

You know how sometimes understanding comes from looking at something quickly, in it's entirety instead of slowly, focusing on the details? Scrolling along tumblr I believe the hands are giving a double high-five. DUH.

And yet, it makes me chuckle even more. I hope that's not how he says goodnight to the ladies!

Aah oh no! It's back!

Ahum, so it's safe to say I am not a huge fan of the scarf, it reminds me of a scarf a lot of middle-aged Marrocan and Turkish women wear, no offense.

But I think it's good that Bambi shows that, even though you're a famous footballer with a paycheck with more than four 0's, you can still wear the same outfit twice and still looks fabulous:p

I can't shake of the idea that Mesut and Hamit are on a date in that one pic, especially the way Mesut looks to Hamit and the the way he touches Hamit.
In this scenario Mesut would of course be the girl, he is our favorite lesbian after all!

But then again he folds the other three fingers. Idk, his fingers-plays are rather distracting and highly amusing.



It's endearing how Mesut loves using emoji. And he's still the lesbian we all love no matter how his hairstyle changes! :')

hmmmmm,my phone and computer both cant display the sign :/......... maybe its like what they do in german matches where they put their hands up sorta thing??,,.... im just talking jiberish now!

I've come to love scarves. Until now, all my life, I was like: "Mum, explain to me, why on earth do people, especially women, wear scarves?" and all she said was: "You'll know someday." And it took me almost 30 years. Of course, because it's cold here, I'm used to and almost like thick scarves, but I guess this year these light scarves have finally made it to my heart (just like Mesut!) And I have no explanation, it's just "you'll know" kind of thing. :D

And about him wearing it again - I think he got a pro's opinion at the first time (although the outfit altogether was NOT right, all grey, yuck) so he just thought it was the right scarf for mildly dressy at christmas time. :) IMO, it's always good to recycle!

Edit:
Oh and about the hands, what I would think, it's high ten, or double high five. Kind of more intimate to touch with hands than just give a smile. :) I hope he's discovering hug next time...
