"The Wizard of Öz": Press Review After Valladolid & Twitter & Facebook Sweetness!

The press love our boy this morning! Here are the headlines of FIFA, UEFA, As, Marca et al., courtesy of our beloved andriy_7





Amusingly, two photographs (with Benzil and Serzil flavour) were used for most of the headlines! For some reason the press loved them!

Facebook & Twitter Sweetness


Mr Sergio "Home-wrecker" Ramos settled himself between Mesut and Sami and triumphantly posted this on Twitter:





So many bromantic interests (Serzil, Samisut, Benzil and Messien!) in one photograph is always appreciated but Sergio was determined we should not miss the point!





Not to be outdone Sami Khedira posted the same picture on Facebook and said the following:





Then Mesut posted a version of this picture and said the following on Facebook:





The English translation is incomplete. What he actually said in German and Turkish is "This is what winners look like. Tired - but happy. I dedicate my two goals to the club and the fans."

But he saved the best (and simplest message) for Twitter:

The camera moves at that moment, but I think both he and Mesut knew it was going in.

The flight of the ball was so perfect. It was curling to the right out of the keeper's range but hitting the target.
