Community Twitter Feed! Thoughts?

Would the community like a Twitter feed for members? It would post unlocked entries as they appear in the comm.

Thoughts?

Yes. No. You don't care? You'd rather die?

You see I'd make a poll, but I'm not able to figure out how to ;)

Oh incidentally: this is how it would work. It updates every half-hour (using the community's RSS feed) and those who follow the feed would be alerted there was a new entry.

This would be useful for members who are on Twitter a great deal and who ignore their e-mail during that time!

Oh and one last thing:

I realized during the discussion we had on this subject at hala_madrid that some people are not aware of how to get notifications of updates to the comm sent to their e-mail.

Visit the community's user-info.
Click on "track" on the right side of the page
Select the option to have new entries e-mailed to you.

Done!

Me being the ancient that I am, I don't have a Twitter account. I don't think I even understand what the whole point behind Twitter is. As far as I can tell, it's basically text messaging, only with a very limited amount of characters, which reduces people into wrtin lyk dis 2 xpres demslvs. In fact, all I know about Twitter is that a lot of celebrities have one, and I only know this because CNN.com considers it worthwhile news when a celebrity quits Twitter.

So, yeah ... Don't have much to say on the matter, so I'm just gonna steal that pretty Mesut pic. (*nab*)

Oh, okay, stealing is wrong. So how about a trade?

By the by, here's an accompanying image of the pic posted above, except someone changed his eye colour.



Considering this site is dedicated to fawning over Bambi (see what I did there? XD), I'm sure we'll all agree that he's awesome the way he is and even if given the powers to do so we wouldn't change him for the world.
... HOWEVER, I must say he looks stunning with blue eyes. I'm not one of those "blue eyes automatically equals beauty/uniqueness" type gals. Hell, almost everyone on my father's (Dutch) side of the family has blue eyes. I guess because of this familiarity I consider blue eyes, blond hair and pale skin to not be all that special.
HOWEVER, blue (or otherwise light coloured) eyes with dark(er) features is to me what Trix is to that damn rabbit. The contrast is just striking. When I was in high school these were the two top candidates for My Future Husband:

I kinda think that Mesut looks like Tom Hiddleston's Loki a bit. LOL.

Bambi with blue eyes? No, please, no.:) I can't imagine his swarthy skin and dark hair matching with that eye colour.

I have twitter acc, but my obsession with Mesut just another reasons I keep secretly.
I stalk mesut's twitter, comment on him in disguised, anonimously, peacefully scrolled on tumblr anytime I want.

If you will create one, perhaps I just stalk you. I agree if u make one.

I don't care, because I have no twitter account and almost never read twitter.

And, vice versa, I care very much about this community, visit it many times a day to get my daily dose of Mesut to read some old posts ;-)

I also don't have a twitter account. Don't know many people that have one, so why should I?
It's doesnt matter to me if you make one, because even without notifications I will stalk... ehh check this once in a while.

It's not like I stalk this at least site 3 times a day and read all the comments, snort way to loud which makes my roommates wondering why I am acting like an idiot and they see me checking a picture of Mesut riding Sergio with a rather embarrasing caption.

Because that would be way too awkward for both parties(and it only happende like once)

So anyway, do as you please but you already make me very happy by running this wonderful site!

Would be OK for me (for the same reasons I gave in the discussion in hala_madrid). Basically, I'm not using twitter much at the moment, but can see the point for peeps who do, and it might be great to see you guys there as well. :)

Indeed.

I ended up making it because it's no different from e-mail notifications.

And since those fail all the time, perhaps this one will work whether LJ is having problems or not (we shall have to see if this works!)

I've got one, but RL being what it is for me, I will set up a fannish a/c, so I can actually have fun with it. ;p
