Uh...don't they have to like each other for it to be a "bromance"? Modric's arrival meant "You go sit on the bench", and in that picture, Mesut looks like he actually wants to kick Modric in the nuts...
I apologize for mislabeling their "relationship". Clearly, this is not my area of expertise! Let's chalk this post up as a learning experience in how to create polls.
No, I understand what you're saying. Jenny suggested the word "portmanteau", and since I had to look that up, I thought it might be best to use a more "familiar" term for the readers! :P But obviously changed the implications in the process.
Because there is indeed little evidence, this was the only picture I could find on the fly that wasn't used in the post before.
I'm having a hard time accepting Modric myself... So in a way the idea of an amicable relationship between them is a little therapeutic for me! Like some have said, another positive influence in his life might do him some good. My hope is that they will indeed be playing more together as opposed to in place of one another.
Well, it might not be a bromance yet, but in some point it may be. And if there might be a case, if there's any evidence, it needs to be studied! :) Anyway, it doesn't need to be a fluffy one to be a ship. ;)
Sure. :D I don't know what to think of Luka myself yet - kinda like him, kinda not. He's my type, but... Actually, I'm expecting it to be a sort of a like-hate relationship, due to the circumstances. :) But Mesut is way too nice and smart to just pass and ignore him. There's some sort of spicy potential in this mix.
Mez looks like that at the end of every game he plays until '88 or '90+. He runs around more than anyone else, he's probably more exhausted than any of us will ever feel. Barca will do that to you.
Modric started playing his natural, deeper role rather quickly, out of Mesut's spot. I'm sure Mesut knew that was going to be the case, if he paid attention to Modric over the years. If anything, now Mou's actually been sacrificing Oezil to give Kaka chances to prove himself (sadface).
Didn't Modi and Oezil start together against Coruna? And Modric didn't take over his place when Oezil was subbed out?

Date: 2012-10-07 12:08 pm (UTC)I suppose I have an unfair loathing of Modric. And I want him no where near Mesut!
