Well hopefully his little anatomy lesson will prevent him from making my most embarrassing Spanish mistake, ie going into a restaurant and asking for 'polla' (dick) instead of 'pollo,' (chicken).

omg....Mesut !!! I can tell from my own experience that he is a visual learner...Can you imagine that oral exam ???

Teacher: "Ok Mesut I will point at the part of the body and you will give the correct noun or name of it."




However I volunteer for making that oral exam...my mind flies...Forgive me but It is late and I am just being a fangirl....hahahah

I wanna be Post-It-noted by Mesut. Whoops, just went from fanwoman to fangirl in that sentence.

Side note: My Spanish teacher just explained to our class that saying "soy," is almost equivalent to saying "I was born that way. Soy muy feliz. I was born happy." That was her way of explaining the difference between ser and estar. And Mesut means happy... He was born Mesut... oh it's just too, too perfect!

That will be a shock, when he starts speaking Spanish (normally) one day. A good story for the evening news DD
PS: actually, of course, he already speaks Spanish (two years!), but it's some kind of a psycological barrier which prevents him from talking with the media.

I can already see Mesut with his spanish teacher and his friend crafting and writing these things just like in Kindergarten:)
And I can somewhat relate to the psychological barrier, it's the same with me and speaking English
I am a pretty decent in English, I can understand it very well and I've got no problems with reading and writing, but when I have to speak to a native English speaker. Everything seems to be going wrong and there are lots and lots of: errrrm..'s involved in my conversation.

I think Mesut can speak Spanish well enough he's just missing the confidence. Aargh this only makes him more adorable!
I mean what fun would an interview with Mesut be if he pronounced everything fluently and there were no cute apologetice laughs?
