A Biographical Portrait Is Released While Julian Draxler Fan-Boys Mesut & Final Depraved Vegas Pics!

Hopefully it will have interviews with people who know him and not just with Mesut; to make it a more interesting read, if you know what I mean ;)
Meanwhile...off in Gelsenkirchen...
Julian Draxler Fanboys Mesut!

Up-and-coming Schalke-cutie Julian Draxler (18 years old) has told an interviewer that his "absolute role-model" is Mesut Ozil. Some of you may remember Draxler as the fresh-faced youngster tripping through the hall-ways of the team hotel with wide-eyes and glowing cheeks before inevitably being sent home when the squad was cut from 27 to 23 members.
He made good use of his experience: "When I was with the national team I asked Mesut what it was like in Spain...I'd love to play in Spain."
He's almost as adorable as Mesut at that age -
Meanwhile...off in Nevada...
Well, all right - perhaps the post title exaggerates. There's only so much depravity one bug-eyed boy can squeeze into the week. Yes, Mesut is still (still??) in Vegas

So much blindingly perfect dental work all in one place!
Incidentally: his lips match too - so which one was he kissing?
But one of the things about Vegas is that occasionally he does have to hang out with...the blue-rinse crowd.

Note: staid, respectable, well-dressed people in the background!
Also, this hotel apparently has no dress-code.
Also, his hair needs a trim.
And the occasional fan, who does not have long brunette hair, good legs, and is between 18 and 24 (yes Mesut - we have long since pinned down your type!) -

This man is not Mesut's type!
And finally: another amusing photograph, taken earlier this week, of Sami Khedira finding Mesut and his friends slightly ridiculous - though looking fairly indulgent about it. Throwing gang symbols around is not Sami's style (though he failed to draw the line at yellow shorts) -

No powers of arrest in Vegas for crimes against fashion.
No one has come forward yet wanting a paternity test. Thank heaven for small blessings!
Also: a note for community members. In addition to our new "Mez in da house" tag (thank you

Date: 2012-07-22 02:32 am (UTC)Anyway - anything interesting, or an interesting extract - and I'll be sure to translate it.
As well as "birth-control" & Mez in da house"....
Date: 2012-07-22 05:52 am (UTC)"Over two-thirds of all marriages in Turkey are arranged.... 36% of such marriages are between first cousins or more distant relatives.... If the boy is slow to make [the decision to get married], his family may decide the time has come for his marriage.... Whether the boy and girl are compatible or in love are not primary considerations, as marriage in most parts of Turkish society is not considered a private affair." (64)
"[In]larger, semi-urban settlements such as towns and smaller cities.... gender segregation becomes more visible.... [and] women are often, among themselves, scornful of men and think of them as overgrown, irrational and conceited children." (74-76)
Excerpts from Tahire Kocturk. A Matter of Honour.... (1992)
In other words, a nice, MEDIA-HYPED, papa-organized, marriage to a "nice" first cousin, would keep Mesut's millions "in the family" - and "if the boy [Mesut] is slow to make the decision" - don't worry, Papa will make it for him!!!
Re: As well as "birth-control" & Mez in da house"....
Date: 2012-07-22 06:09 am (UTC)Suffice to say, he grew up in Germany and would probably have a word or two to say about marrying his cousin. ;) I'm not saying it doesn't happen at all nowadays, just that it's become rarer. And that he has plenty of other offers, I'm sure. :)
LOLing about the second passage though. I THINK the statement about overgrown children holds true in a lot of cultures. :-.
EDIT: Then again, Nuri Sahin married his cousin, so who am I to argue?

Anyway - she's cute - Tugba that is. I gained the powerful impression they were not brought up together. They met as teens and love won out!

Date: 2012-07-22 01:29 pm (UTC)As for the other: health risks of marrying cousins are well known now (in Turkey too - in 1992, not so much), and Mesut did pick his first fiancee, so we live in hope he'll pick his second! Arranged marriages are not really socially acceptable anyway. A lot of Mesut's marketing is centred around him being as "German" and mainstream as possible. So actually, a hyped wedding that was arranged for him would be very bad for his image.
Well, I'm a fan, and I wouldn't like it :p

I have to check the exact date because it could be sooner. I'm so excited, I can't even tell you! I think the first friendly is coming up too.
