A big dream has been fulfilled for Victoria, Agatha and Zuzia. The Polish girls have finally met up with their idol: Mesut Ozil. Three days of waiting have been rewarded! The midfield star stepped out of his bus outside his hotel and was photographed with his fans.


"Mesut Özil ist der Beste!" is written on the German flag that has been hanging for days on a fence.

"Ich liebe Mesut Özil", screams an exuberant Zuzia into a Eurosport-microphone. "This is unbelievable."



Ozil was on his way back to the hotel after the press conference as spokesman Harald Stenger asked the bus to stop. "Those girls have been standing there since Saturday and want an autograph from Mesut." So said Stenger: elegantly directing Ozil towards his fans.

The 23 year old did not allow this chance to pass him by and allowed himself to be photographed, absolutely calmly, with the girls,who were freaking out. "This is unbelievable," says Victoria to eurosport.yahoo.de. She can't believe she's in the same photograph together with Ozil.

"I saw Mesut before, at the first official practice in Danzig. And I met him at the last bicycle outing," raves Zuzia and proudly shows off a picture of herself with Ozil, who gives a friendly smile into the camera at the helm of his bicycle.

After five minutes it's all over. The girls have to calm themselves, because they hadn't reckoned on this meeting - though they had hoped for it.


I love these sweet girls! Such dedication! They are obviously fellow community members in spirit! And Harald Stenger ♥ is a gent!

This is so sweet. He does always seem to really care about his fans. This is from the bicycle ride. He looks a bit happier here! What a lucky girl to have met him! And I think it's funny how he stood directly in front of the poor guy who probably stood there for three days alongside the girls for the picture. LOL
