(Gosh, I'm late, but I was scrolling through the Samisut tag, and now I have all these feelings ... gah)
Your comment gives me the opportunity to put something down something out that has always puzzled me. There is NO SUCH THING as Samisut fic in German. No fic of any kind with Sami. Mesut is written with everyone else - but NEVER with Sami. He's always "the best friend".
Not only is there no Samisut, in most ffs I stumbled across (oh, the horror I had to endure ;___;), there's no Sami at all! It's like he doesn't exist! And they're not best friends! Even when the fic is set with the NT, Sami rarely plays an important role. It's always Poldi or Marko Marin, and I JUST DON'T GET IT!!! Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?!?! Don't they see??!? Don't they watch the games or look at pics?!? Also, the level of writing skills just sucks in german football fanfic. It's horrible. I haven't read such bad fanfic in ... scratch that, I've never read such bad fanfic before, and I started reading fanfic when I was around TWELVE. Which means I read stuff by other twelve year olds. And they weren't as bad as some of the stuff the german football fandom comes up with. I could complain endlessly about it, but I already do that to Jill, so I won't bore you with it ^^.
