Date: 2012-02-19 08:36 pm (UTC)Those of us who observe him carefully are sure he'd like to be all these things, but he has just bought a flash car for an enormous amount of money, seems flushed and winded after games and there are too many pictures of him sneaking drinks in night-clubs to make it plausible that he doesn't drink.
In other words: he's a typical well-behaved young man - who likes going out occasionally, likes the occasional cigarette and likes to have a drink now and then - he just doesn't like to admit it.
It's all very, very harmless in my view. He just doesn't tell his mother ;)

But it is seriously out of date. He was 19 when he gave that interview. He was 22 when he said he did like the occasional glass (I have translated both, of course).
He also switched preferences from Fanta to iced-tea in that time!
Well - why not? When I was 19 I didn't drink either. When I was 22 I did.
