The Match Spam!

It was Mesut's second double in two league games (both at the Bernabeu)! He had a splendid game! Madrid won 3-1. Naturally the press is thrilled he's in form going into the semi-final against Dortmund because the squad has some serious injury issues with Kaka, Modric, Marcelo and Essien injured and Arbeloa suspended.

Here are the goals (the first and last goals were Mesut's). Benzema's is the second goal!

And some more pictures and press!

Cristiano isn't the only shining star at Real Madrid. Mesut Özil faces the match against Dortmund in great form, with all the tricks in his bag brightly polished, poised to offer the very best of his repertoire. He has clocked up 9 goals so far this season, and as Pepe Mel put it: "Ozil is Real's hidden gem."
The German midfielder is superb in the danger zone. The double against Betis followed another against Levante. So far he has notched up eight league goals which, added to the one he scored in the Champions League, make Özil a real alternative to top scorers Cristiano, Higuain and Benzema. That's 9 goals in 45 games this season.
Özil is well-known in Dortmund. His talents were first unveiled in the Bundesliga when he played for Werder Bremen and since then, his game has just kept on getting better and better.
It's make-or-break time in the season and Mourinho needs his German players (Khedira and Özil) more than ever. Even more so now that Modric's injury has left a gap in the midfield position to be played alongside Xabi Alonso.
Real Madrid is going to need an alternative to Cristiano in Signal Iduna Park and, no prizes for guessing, he wears a number '10' shirt, and is German.
