True, true. They played in white against Spain. In fact, I made this statement in the past and someone pointed that out to me, and yet for some reason my mind stubbornly insists this was from the Spain game.
BUT this does make things more interesting, because Germany only played in black twice during WC 2010. Against Ghana and against Argentina, both matches they won. So, regardless of which of those two matches this is from, Samisut would have been in a state of euphoria, not despair, as both matches were significant for their progression in the tournament! So then, this here is a group hug of joy, not sorrow! :D :D
(If anyone can just tell me once and for all which match we're talking about here I will be forever grateful)
I was on doubt until someone else confirmed it, but I always suspected Klose because at the end of the loop you can see his feathery hair behind Mesut's head (Sami's hand is patting the back of Miro's head there), and I do recognize his arms. Klose isn't muscular and the skin on his arms at least is pretty thin, probably due to "age" (yeah, all, what, 32 years at the time? Apparently that makes his ancient in footballing years), which matches the arms in the gif ... Please tell me it's not weird that I notice stuff like this???
