Mesut Scored & Assisted Today...





...like the darling, bug-eyed genius that he is! And yeah - it was for Sergio Ramos!

And then he scored himself (warning: crap quality while we wait for tumblr to cough up gifs - and I will update when they come):

And it seems in spite of everything, Mesut still loves Sami (who scored too!)* - and Benzema is still the third wheel.

Meanwhile, Iker Casillas wants to join in on all this Mesut-lovin' - he was spotted tugging on Mesut's ear as the team boarded the school bus!






*Today, two Germans scored in the same match for the first time every for Madrid - and for only the second time in Liga history. Earlier today, German National Teammates Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski became the first German players ever, in quick succession, to score in the North London Derby.

"La semana ha sido muy bonita, con el bonito tanto con la selección y hoy también. Le debía el gol a Ozil y por eso el gol era para él. No siempre marcan los mismos y hoy nos los hemos distribuido los demás. Cristiano no ha anotado y eso es raro, quizás por eso se haya ido triste. Contra el City nos jugamos la vida."

Rough translation: he dedicates it to Mesut for his rough patch and he's doing awesome now!

Aww, I love how he blows kisses to the crowd. What a sweetheart. He did NOT look happy to be subbed off though, and it was an odd substitution to make. I was sure Luka would be taken off for Sami--like for like, and Modric wasn't doing anything particularly amazing tonight. Mesut looked pretty petulant sitting by himself after he got taken off, and being joined by Benz didn't look to cheer him up any. There was some epic bitchface going on there lol.

If I had had a drink every time my commentators said something about Özil and Ramos "connecting" I would've been drunk by the end of the match. And they kept referring to their "special friendship"! Maybe they come to this site too!

And I just have to say, his free kick was so beautiful. The way it curved and dipped, with so much speed... It was a quintessential example of his talent and ability.

The whole game just oozed with bromantic appeal. I feel like Real has been all about individual performances this season... sometimes successfully, sometimes not. But this match truly felt like an ensemble. Lots of considerate passing and support.

Wonderful to see Sami back. And with a goal! My four favorite players on the team all scored (minus Marcelo) and the result has left me feeling quite buoyant!

I hate living in a country where the timezones are completely opposite. That's why I never get to see much football even when I want to. And waking up to a loss for United, and Wayne off sick. UGH. UGH. UGH.

BUT! This cheered me right up because yay Mesut scored (haha) and Sami scored as well, and Sergio too! My face is all :DD when I think about this now, even though I'm a total Sami/Mesut girl at heart. That last gif where Mesut goes to Sami's side - priceless! Özil's so tiny, and then he whips off that shirt, and whoooosh Abs of Death. He's got a great arse too, and legs, and ears, and eyes. ANYWAY.

Take a bow boys! - I totally read it as 'take a blowjob boys!' so yeah, my brain isn't really working yet. And I just keep remembering all these classic Mexican telenovelas that I saw as a kid, and the main character had amnesia, and lo, I read a fanfic where Mesut had amnesia. Haha I don't even know why I typed that.

I'd have to check when his game against Man City is, so I can wake up at the right time, because I would dearly love to see him run round them. :DDDDDDDD
