I sucked in gym class. I was a champion runner, but in my school all the coolest and most popular girls were basketball players (our phys ed teacher had been a champion with what became my University).
Naturally half the year was taken up with basketball. I used to flinch every time the ball came near my face.
We were an all-girls school too - so no competition for attention from the boys.
