Real Madrid returned to league play yesterday after International Break.



So wide-eyed! You'd think Mesut would be used to this by now...

He was knocked over a great deal...











It began to irritate him...

There's definitely an awwzil factor to the whole thing though, it must be admitted...





I should mention it was a thrilling game! Madrid went into half-time extremely dominant (2/3 possession, 5 shots directly on goal and rarely troubled, though Iker did spill the ball once bringing a heroic sliding-save from friend Sergio Ramos) but without a goal  -

But never fear! Friend Gonzalo Higuain saved the day with a hat-trick and Kaka scored one too!

That was the first game out of 5 in the next 15 days so expect to see lots of our bug-eyed boy over the next two weeks, though Mourinho will likely begin rotating.





I'm sure we all hope Mesut had a very happy birthday: nice cake, and cuddles from Sami included!
