Just came across this video clip of the Christmas luncheon and had to share it for a couple of reasons!

First of all, Mesut is NOT in fact wearing the same outfit as last year. PHEW! That was weighing heavily on my heart... In fact, he's looking quite spiffy in a new, never seen before navy blue cardigan, with a white collared shirt underneath. There's a chance he might be wearing the same jeans that we see over and over again, but I'm not going to nitpick here (evidence below). In my personal opinion, he looks fantastic. 

Also of note, despite this community's love of the Serzil phenomenon lately, we have all expressed concern for dear Sami, as well as, last but not least (?), Benz. You will notice that he has wisely sat himself between the two here. Smart boy!

Mesut should start sharing fashion tips with Karim tbh.

Sergio's got his eye on you Mesut!

Now if only he'd stop texting Sergio so indiscreetly under the table...

I also found these pictures of Sami and Mesut visiting children at a local hospital. I'm not positive but I'm assuming this was part of the club's "No Child without a Toy at Christmas Initiative". The website also shows some team members handing out gifts to children at the Bernabeu as part of the event. Here's a nice quote from club president Florentino Perez about the initiative:

"The whole legend of this club is to not only channel efforts into
sporting objectives. The power of sport puts Real Madrid in a strategic
position to try to make the world less unjust and more united. Whatever
happens, this club will always be loyal to their commitment to those
less fortunate, especially children. Now, more than ever, we must put
all our efforts into making sure that this Christmas no child is left
without a toy."

See the familiar jeans? I'd recognize those spots anywhere.

I will fiddle with it when I get home later. I kept checking YouTube and couldn't find it. But the link had an embed code so figured it would work!
