Just came across this video clip of the Christmas luncheon and had to share it for a couple of reasons!

First of all, Mesut is NOT in fact wearing the same outfit as last year. PHEW! That was weighing heavily on my heart... In fact, he's looking quite spiffy in a new, never seen before navy blue cardigan, with a white collared shirt underneath. There's a chance he might be wearing the same jeans that we see over and over again, but I'm not going to nitpick here (evidence below). In my personal opinion, he looks fantastic.

Also of note, despite this community's love of the Serzil phenomenon lately, we have all expressed concern for dear Sami, as well as, last but not least (?), Benz. You will notice that he has wisely sat himself between the two here. Smart boy!

Mesut should start sharing fashion tips with Karim tbh.

Now if only he'd stop texting Sergio so indiscreetly under the table...

I also found these pictures of Sami and Mesut visiting children at a local hospital. I'm not positive but I'm assuming this was part of the club's "No Child without a Toy at Christmas Initiative". The website also shows some team members handing out gifts to children at the Bernabeu as part of the event. Here's a nice quote from club president Florentino Perez about the initiative:

"The whole legend of this club is to not only channel efforts into
sporting objectives. The power of sport puts Real Madrid in a strategic
position to try to make the world less unjust and more united. Whatever
happens, this club will always be loyal to their commitment to those
less fortunate, especially children. Now, more than ever, we must put
all our efforts into making sure that this Christmas no child is left
without a toy."

See the familiar jeans? I'd recognize those spots anywhere.

Also, Sami looks RAVISHING in his outfit. I just LOVE his blazer. Mesut looks stunning in that cardigan as well! I really need to know where he got it (and the grey one he often wears, you know which one). They all look amazing, I specially love how Calleti looks tonight.

Mesut looks really cute. And his outfit isn't that bad. I love the cardigan and the shirt, but since I'm the pickiest person when it comes to fashion I'm annoyed by the fact that the gray on the shirt isn't in line with the grey on the cardigan haha. And for once the pants is in the right size for him. Well done Mes!

And also, I was looking through his, as it seems, favourite designers collections and couldn't find either the shirt or the cardigan. Let's hope this means it's the end of the D squared era. WOOP WOOP!

Well. The gray part on the shirt is more like a moss green. I assume it seems gray due to the lighting. It is the same shirt he wore in night clubs in Las Vegas. Thank you for refreshing our minds, Mesut!

So it is! That didn't however make it any better. haha. I'm going to pretend it's grey, and that it's a tie instead of a detail on the shirt. yup, that's what I'll do...

PRAISE THE LORD, PASS THE GRAVY, SPANK MY ASS AND NAME YOUR PRICE! Samisut is back, bitchesssss!!! I like to think Sergio was meant to go with them to the hospital but Sami barricaded his front door shut with copies of "Sergio Ramos. Corazon, Caracter y Pasion" glued together with jealous tears, and then lied to a puzzled Mesut that Sergio couldn't come because he went Christmas shopping with Torres.

On an unrelated note, I find the lack of Higuain on the pitch and at team events disturbing, and we can all use a perky little pick-us-upper after yesterday's match, (and I'm sorting through my archives again, so am finding all kinds of old goodies I feel like sharng), so here's a gratuitous spam of Pipita's best side ...

Cris' face just about says it all.
