There have been many articles he's found over the past few days that are of great interest concerning Mesut, much of it complete speculation, of course, designed to cause us anxiety - but some incredibly sweet stuff too.

The latest from Marca (and please note: it actually has info the comm didn't know previously about the Serzil phenomenon!)

Sergio Ramos' desire to dedicate a goal to Mesut Özil against Deportivo, in order to cheer up the German – who is at his lowest ebb since he joined Madrid – stemmed not only from the Seville-born defender's friction with José Mourinho, but also from the close friendship between the two players.

For some time now, Ramos, in his role as one of the club's vice-captains, has been helping the German pair of Khedira and Özil - both have now been with 'Los Blancos' for three years – to fit in at Madrid. But his relationship with Mesut goes deeper than that.

The language barrier hasn't prevented their friendship from flourishing, as Özil has quickly picked up Spanish. Now they are so close that they even swapped cars a few days ago. The Madrid no. 10 lent Ramos one of the latest German models, getting back a Porsche in return from the centre-back.

Sometimes it is on social media that you can get an idea of the new friendships that form within the Madrid squad. This is the case of Ramos and Özil, who as early as a couple of years ago posted a video of themselves doing kick-ups in the dressing room.

Ramos also often posts photos together with Özil, sometimes with other teammates in the picture and sometimes just the two of them. Their friendship is old news. Despite the recent events, the two were as chummy as ever yesterday in training, talking and making jokes.

Can we just have a collective awwzil about this?
