Observers Of The Serzil Phenomenon! Take Note! Also: Training Pics!

My very beloved andriy_7 doesn't only send pics and gifs (and I am shamefully late getting them up due to LJ problems and a migraine from hell - sorry sweetheart! Please be patient!) he sometimes trawls Marca for us too!

There have been many articles he's found over the past few days that are of great interest concerning Mesut, much of it complete speculation, of course, designed to cause us anxiety - but some incredibly sweet stuff too.

The latest from Marca (and please note: it actually has info the comm didn't know previously about the Serzil phenomenon!)

Sergio Ramos' desire to dedicate a goal to Mesut Özil against Deportivo, in order to cheer up the German – who is at his lowest ebb since he joined Madrid – stemmed not only from the Seville-born defender's friction with José Mourinho, but also from the close friendship between the two players.

For some time now, Ramos, in his role as one of the club's vice-captains, has been helping the German pair of Khedira and Özil - both have now been with 'Los Blancos' for three years – to fit in at Madrid. But his relationship with Mesut goes deeper than that.

The language barrier hasn't prevented their friendship from flourishing, as Özil has quickly picked up Spanish. Now they are so close that they even swapped cars a few days ago. The Madrid no. 10 lent Ramos one of the latest German models, getting back a Porsche in return from the centre-back.

Sometimes it is on social media that you can get an idea of the new friendships that form within the Madrid squad. This is the case of Ramos and Özil, who as early as a couple of years ago posted a video of themselves doing kick-ups in the dressing room.

Ramos also often posts photos together with Özil, sometimes with other teammates in the picture and sometimes just the two of them. Their friendship is old news. Despite the recent events, the two were as chummy as ever yesterday in training, talking and making jokes.

Can we just have a collective awwzil about this?

I didn't think Mesut's legs could look any better- until I saw them next to Luka's. No offense to Luka of course! They just make Mesut's look as long, and lean, and beautifully tan as the day is long. Sorry, just felt like after the last few days I needed to revert back to my objectifying self. :)

Couldn't agree with you more! To be honest Luka's legs look a bit square:p I wonder how long it will take until his legs will be hairless and tanned too.
And maybe we should have posts about every part of mesuts wonderful body, his legs, his arms, his ears? :)

Just got back from Schiphol airport!! My first time seeing the boys in person!! Wheeeeeeeeeeee!!

And no, sadly, I did not take any pics because I only had my phone with me, which takes crap photos that are so blurry I might as well take a picture of a banana and claim it's Iker in his yellow kit. I did film a bit, but it's not very long and they walked by really fast. Got a good few seconds of Iker and Benzema, since they stopped to pose with the guys next to me.

... BUT I GOT A HUG FROM RONALDO!! SCOOOOREE!! Totally made the trip (through crap weather, I might add) right after work, only to wait until midnight for the guys to pull up, totally worth it! Kinda got a psuedo-hug from Pepe, since he was next to Ronaldo and the two of them were in a pretty good mood. (Can't blame them. 4-1 win with Ronaldo's hat trick.) I am never washing my coat ever again! XD

Would like to write a brief post about it, including the vid, but don't know how to post here. Help? :)

P.S. Yesssssss! Modric and Mesut are bonding!! Was hoping these two would hit it off because they're really alike; both come off as shy, quiet guys. As for nicknames ... Mozil? Medric? Luksut? Nulmo? XD

This post is so, so, sooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful! Perfect! I didn't know those things before, oh my god! THEY ACTUALLY EXCHANGED CARS OH MY GOD!!! At this moment, I love you guys and Marca the most. Sergio really made my life. I'm unable to shut up. I'm sorry. I love you guys. I love them. Gratitude for this beautiful post. Aw, you guys are getting me into serzil! Or, they are. :D First the shirt thing and then this, I don't need more evidence, it's for real! Hopefully things are not cooling down too much with Sami, though! So many bromances...

Which reminds me - what's with the white socks? The look is pretty... schoolboyish. :D Ah well, and I guess... Mesuty. You never know what to expect. Though there always is a completely reasonable explanation.

And waiting for some delicate Luka & Mesut to appear around the corners. I'd think something along the lines of Modzil would first come to mind, but I have nothing against Mesuka either. Happy with whatever you decide!

Lukut! In my head I pronounce it with the short u sound because it implies being "lucky"! And I want these two to be a "lucky" pairing on the pitch. Just my silly, school-teacher side of me coming out here. Although I'm sure there aren't many teachers out there racking their brains for bromance names. :P

Mesut's name means "happy" - which is Gluecklich in German.

Which also means Lucky.

So it's ABSOLUTELY PERFECT
