Marca believes, after the inspired and intuitive play-making display against Levante on the weekend from Karim Benzema and Mesut Ozil, that they have discovered their "Perfect Cocktail" within the Madrid line-up.

Marca's cartoonist is to be seriously commended for getting down the precise essence of our crinkly-eared boy, highlighting not only our lad's finest feature, but also his famous nose.

...Mesut's New Car (Which Is Not An Aston Martin)...


...was revealed this week by some enterprising paparazzi.

Now I freely admit it. If you'd have given me a great deal of money when I was twelve years old this is precisely the car I would have bought.

I'd recognize that chin anywhere!

For those of you with more money than sense it's the Ferrari 458 Italia. Your correspondent has contacted her brother in law (who drives a Ferrari - true story) to get an exclusive account on what driving one is like. Apparently it's rather torturous. All that racing-car speed has no use whatsoever in a city centre where the driving limit hovers between 45 and 60km/hr.

Still - who are we to begrudge Mesut his play-thing? Let's just hope he doesn't go emulating Karim Benzema who got into some police trouble this summer by racing his car along the Riviera.





Though Mesut was ticketed...let's hope this isn't a sign of things to come.


The Bromantic Chronicles Continued...

Training Pictures of the last couple of days, and the usual photograph of Mesut and Sami glued to each other's sides while boarding the team bus have emerged.

For those on Team Benzema, I am sorry to note that after several weeks of being glued to Mesut's side, he has once again been discarded in favour of Sami - within about 2 minutes of his return to full fitness. This is entirely consistent with the careless manner in which Mesut bestows his much coveted affections. One does hope Karim is getting used to it.

WHAT is going on in that picture next to the bus? They look like they're all on some weird angle.

The cartoonist also drew in Mesut's headband. WINNING. Poor Benz though. COME HERE, BB! I WILL HUG YOU BETTER!

Weirdly, it's not the first piece of clothing I've wanted to snag of our boy's, but I want that jacket Mesut's wearing. Though judging his baseball team choices. XD

I love the way he holds his bag straps. It's so adorable and schoolboy-on-a-trip looking.
