Two random observations about Mesut, with pictorial evidence
What follows are two very random things. One of a bro_omantic nature, the other one... I don't know what, actually.
One.
While Mesut is anything but short (slender, mayhap, but not short!), has buffed up nicely and I absolutely adore his suddenly very sculptuesque chin, this tumblr picture just really rams it home:
Sami's really, really tall there sitting next to him. Look at those massive shoulders. Phew.
(Oh, hello. Size difference kink. Well, I never... Okay, I guess. I submit.)
Two
The next point contains slight WTFery. So be warned.
But I recently visited Münster, a city that has some beautiful churches to its name. And I saw this pietà statue and it just struck me that beautiful Ms. Virgin Marysut here shares some very distinct features with our favorite adoraboy. So I searched my folder for comparison pics... *tilts her head sideways*
I could analyse this along the lines of angelic and androgynous beauty standards, the geographical origin of man according to the Bible and the ancient Greeks' and Albrecht Dürer's influence in contributing a semi-mesopotamian beauty standard to Christian iconography. I could. But I'm not gonna.
It's just... tell me that I'm not insane and you see it, too? :) The eyes! The nose! (They're not bug-eyes. They are... statuesque and expressive. Yes.)
