Two random observations about Mesut, with pictorial evidence

What follows are two very random things. One of a bro_omantic nature, the other one... I don't know what, actually.

One.

While Mesut is anything but short (slender, mayhap, but not short!), has buffed up nicely and I absolutely adore his suddenly very sculptuesque chin, this tumblr picture just really rams it home:



Sami's really, really tall there sitting next to him. Look at those massive shoulders. Phew.

While jenny_jenkins recovers from from her hattrick bliss, let me contribute Mesut's interview in which he almost, ALMOST is totally boss until the very last minute when he does manage to fumble. (He was short on time, natürlich. Sami was waiting for his celebratory hug. :D)

Mesut's Mother and Sister, interviewed

The title says it all. Unamadridista posted a link to a video of the Spanish press visiting Mesut's home and interviewing his younger sister, Nese, and his mother.

Things to note:

The eyes are definitely genetic. :) Nese looks like a pretty tough character. You don't mess with little sis. His mother chose to answer the journalists' questions in Turkish, with Nese interpreting. According to Nese, Mesut's "very affectionate, very funny and likes to joke around a lot."

An Auspicious Day & Mesut As Dragon!

It's The Year Of The Dragon & The Community's First Public Day!

Welcome to all new members!

Love slick assists, sheer-playing intelligence, sweet-natured hard-work and a wicked left foot in your football players? You've come to the right place!

And if you didn't know that Mesut's hair smells like strawberry scented shampoo (it does!) or that his favourite movie is "Hangover"
(there's no accounting for tastes!) or that he has a pitbull called Rocky - then plainly this community is lacking in your life!




Today is the community's first public day. I believe we have chosen an auspicious day for two reasons.

The first is that it is the Chinese New Year! The highly auspicious Year of the Dragon is upon us.





The second is that by a happy coincidence Mesut - born in October of 1988 - is also a Dragon!
