Naturally, first off, the team supports me so well and as I’ve said before I came here to develop further and that’s what I’m doing. I’m on a good path – but I haven’t achieved anything and I want to continue to develop, to give my best effort, to work hard on improving myself and now [with the goal against Sevilla] I’ve been rewarded.

Naturally I’m happy. The fans are wonderful, the team supports me – I’ve finally arrived and it is just so much fun to kick around with them and you can see that on the field.

Naturally I get along well with all of them. We all help each other – everyone’s very friendly - we’re like a little family. I talk to everyone in the meantime – in English, or a little Spanish – and they all help me and make it a lot of fun.

One is really happy, naturally, when one arrives at practice and when one sees the people – because it is just so much fun. One never wakes up in morning and thinks to oneself “Okay, today I have to go to practice, and I’m not getting along with him or with someone else. It’s just not like that. When I wake up, I am so happy to be going to practice, to see the boys – as I’ve said, we’re like a little family.

Sami Khedira

For me it was, naturally, a little easier than it was for him, because he was here before and I knew him from Germany and he’s helped me so much and we do lots of stuff together, and I’m just so happy he’s here.

The Goal Against Sevilla

“Naturally I was very happy to have made a goal, but Sami Khedira played such a super pass to me and we’d had some chances on goal that, unfortunately, didn’t go in. But the 1-0 did us good we were calmer. Then Adebayor made it 2-0 and that sealed the match.

What does he think of Cristiano Ronaldo?

Naturally I get along very well him – also off the pitch. He helps me a great deal. He’s a wonderful fellow and on the field we just understand each other. He’s very important to the team, has mademany important goals, and always brings his best performance, gives 100% effort and I’m just happy to be allowed to play with him.

And Mourinho?

Naturally, first of all, he’s a coach who gives 100% effort and expects 100% effort from us. He helps, naturally, every player and we have lots of fun together – you can see it in practice. We do lots of ball work, lots of tactical work and we have lots of fun at our work.

My goal is to continue to develop and – and with our coach to do a good job. He helps us, naturally, and talks to all of us players a great deal and my goal is just, um – to do what I can – to summon up what I’m capable of and that’s my goal.

I think it’s generally difficult against Real Madrid because we have lots of potential when we do what we’re capable of – and then we’re difficult to beat – and most of all never at home.

Why did he kiss the club emblem?

Naturally I’m with Real Madrid. I’m here and I feel good and I’m a part of the team. And of course it was spontaneous – I celebrated and kissed the crest – because I feel so good here.

I want to keep making an effort, and keep developing, and stay healthy, and get titles.
