Mesut Scored & Assisted Today...





...like the darling, bug-eyed genius that he is! And yeah - it was for Sergio Ramos!

And then he scored himself (warning: crap quality while we wait for tumblr to cough up gifs - and I will update when they come):

And it seems in spite of everything, Mesut still loves Sami (who scored too!)* - and Benzema is still the third wheel.

Meanwhile, Iker Casillas wants to join in on all this Mesut-lovin' - he was spotted tugging on Mesut's ear as the team boarded the school bus!






*Today, two Germans scored in the same match for the first time every for Madrid - and for only the second time in Liga history. Earlier today, German National Teammates Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski became the first German players ever, in quick succession, to score in the North London Derby.

Aww, I love how he blows kisses to the crowd. What a sweetheart. He did NOT look happy to be subbed off though, and it was an odd substitution to make. I was sure Luka would be taken off for Sami--like for like, and Modric wasn't doing anything particularly amazing tonight. Mesut looked pretty petulant sitting by himself after he got taken off, and being joined by Benz didn't look to cheer him up any. There was some epic bitchface going on there lol.
