No - that was January, in an interview.

Mourinho brought it up to explain Essien's use of the term last week.

I do hope Mourinho's much-vaunted man-management skills are really as good as everyone says. We'll have to see, won't we :)

And no - never worry about footballers. Worse case scenario: Mesut doesn't play and still gets paid millions.

There are many more people to waste your sympathy on - and of course another club with snatch him up in no time.

Ok, so yes, I'm too emotionally involved. It's crossed my mind it may be time for me step out of his world for a bit. Perhaps Mou will be doing me a favor if he stops playing him all together.

One last thought... Any chance Mou typically cusses out his players on the pitch like the video shows, but the media's just making it look worse to further this story, since there's already all this drama surrounding Mesut? Not justifying it of course, but I'd imagine it's not too unusual. What pains me most about it is the fact that I felt like he was trying SO hard. I swear, it looked to me like he was running EVERYWHERE, more than normal, and I was thinking, he's trying to do the right thing (i.e. what Mou wants him to do...). And it still wasn't enough. Very defeating.
